Welcome to IT Professor!

So, Who's the Professor?
My name is Bart Wysocki. I am a security pro with a passion for both building and breaking things in the cloud. With years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, my work has been focused on defending enterprise environments and making sense of the data that tells us when something is wrong.
My expertise is built on a foundation of real world practice being on both sides of the barricade taught me how attackers think, how they exploit weaknesses, and most importantly, how to build systems that can stand up to real threats. Here are a few things I specialise in:
- Threat Hunting & Incident Response with Microsoft Sentinel and XDR
- KQL, especially advanced hunting logic
- Azure Security Architecture, including infrastructure hardening and identity management
- Security Automation, everything to make our lives easier
- Social Engineering, everything to make my life easier
Beyond the tech skills, I am driven by the "Aha!" moment - that feeling when a complex topic finally clicks. That's what I want to share with you here.
And Who's This Owl?

That's Profo, your friendly guide to itprofessor.cloud!
The world of security can be overly serious and intimidating. Profo is here to remind us that learning should be engaging and accessible. He'll pop up in tutorials to highlight key tips, warn you about common pitfalls, and celebrate your success along the way.
Think of him as your personal teaching assistant on this journey.

This site is more than just my personal blog; my goal is for it to be a hub for learning and discussion. I believe that foundational security knowledge should be shared openly, which is why the vast majority of articles and tutorials on itprofessor.cloud
will always be free.
This project is a solo effort, fueled by a passion for the subject (and a lot of coffee!). If you find the content here valuable, please consider supporting the site. Your support is what allows me to keep creating in-depth content and ensures it remains accessible to the entire community.
